Research and write a biographical paper on any significant person in U.S. History within the timeline of 1600-1890.  You must turn in a copy of your Bibliography (see sample) and your title page to be approved by the teacher no later than December 1st. 

 

Due date for completion of the entire paper, is December 12th, 2008.

 

Criteria

 

Paper must be word-processed, black ink on white paper.

 

Use a 12pt font, Times Roman or Arial.

 

Use one-inch margins all around, double-spaced.  (Minimum 1500 words.)

 

Separate title page including the Subject of your paper and our standard class heading. (Name, Period and Date)

 

Pages must be numbered.

 

Staple your pages in the left hand upper corner.

 

Do not put paper in any cover, folder or binder.

 

You must use at least 3 different sources, No Internet and No encyclopedia allowed.

 

In addition you must include a bibliography using the following format.

 

The Modern Language Association (MLA) Style is widely used for identifying research sources.

 

Author. Title of Book. Edition. City of Publication: Publisher, Year.
